The extension of the existing sixth form facilities is the third for Dartford Grammar School the practice has been involved in and has been met with approval by both staff and students.
The new building fills a slim gap between four existing buildings of different uses, forms, levels and styles of architecture. It links all the existing buildings on two levels and provides new circulation routes for the new and existing facilities on a tight site.
The accommodation provides new art and technology rooms, a fully equipped lecture theatre, general classrooms, sports changing rooms and two levels of open access study zones.
In line with all our school and college work, the philosophy has been to provide interiors and an environment that is contemporary and stimulating to all pupil ages and provides the school with an adult environment.
